2008 is looking like a strong year for Erykah, some of these lacking artist should take note, The queen of neo-soul is going to be releasing 3 Albums this year; the first is going to be Nu Amerykah, which will be released on February 26th, and then followed by “Return of the Ankh” and “New Amerykah II”.

What is making Erykah really interesting right now is that for the third album “New Amerykah II”..she will not be releasing it on a traditional cd.

“You’ll purchase (instead of a CD) a USB stick, each will come with a specific code that you punch in. That way you’ll get to upload a new song every month for the next 10 months,”she says.

Along with 3 major album releases she is starting a magazine called “Freaq” which would be dedicated to arts, politics, beauty, fashion, photography and technology.

I love it….She is getting her Sean John on..I hope some of these artists take-in whats going on here (I am talking to you Ashanti and Kelly Rowland..YEA I SAID IT.) and emulate..
