‘Children Of Men’ is one of my favourite movies of all time because you get so deeply involved in the adventure. The performances from all the actors are so strong that they leave a lasting impression (Clive Owen became one of my favourite actors, just from watching this movie). The performances are not the only thing that stands out, the scenes and imagery are also done exceptional well.

The movie is set in 2027, when no child has been born for 18 years and science is at loss to explain the reason, African and East European societies collapse and their dwindling populations migrate to England and other wealthy nations. In a climate of nationalistic violence, a London peace activist turned bureaucrat Theo Faron (Clive Owen), joins forces with his revolutionary ex-wife Julian (Julian Moore) in order to save mankind by protecting a woman who has mysteriously became pregnant.

The setting of the movie was what really struck a cord with me because I believe in the possibility of are world turning into that type of situation. This movie does a great job symbolizing hoping in the worst situation.
