My music tastes tend to be all over the place and I think it’s a great trait because it allows me to incorporate different musical experiences into my playlists. I incorporate this into the Good Music segment so that you can also experience different music people have to offer. This week’s Good Music pick is also a very different experience and I don’t think you can really put them into a typical music category.

The pick that I have decided to go with is Chromeo. They are bit more established then the other artist that I have had on this segment but I still decided to incorporate them simply because their music is really good. I was first introduced to there a sound a while back at a club. The song that was played was footwork and from there I really got into them and their style of music.

The band is made up of two individuals; P-Thugg and Dave 1, and they have been good friends ever since their teenage years. Their debut album, Shes In Control, was released about 3 years ago and ever since then they have been really globetrotting to expand their legion of fans.

What makes their music really stand out to me is the eletronica premise with a very smooth backdrop. If I was to explain it into a word it would be soulelectrofunk. I am an avid listener of things that make me calm and relax so I am happy to have Chromeo in my collection, you might too….check them out
