This movie is a classic in my book no matter what anybody tells me, and it is a great piece to my collection. The plot is pretty straight forward; a mob hit man living alone in Manhattan, befriends a precocious young girl (Natalie Portman), whose family has been wiped out by a twisted D.E.A. official (Gary Oldman) eager to finish what he started. This was Director, Luc Besson’s, first movie in America and he received great reviews for his efforts. I personally enjoyed it because of the character development; we get really close to Leon and Matilda as they form their relationship (which gets very AWKWARD at times).

Even though the action scenes were very impressive, I wouldn’t consider this a straight up..shoot em up, but more of a suspense thriller with a pinch of drama…, definitely worth a check out if you haven’t already.
