Yup I said it, but I don’t mean it in the way you think…

I don’t think people fully grasp the monumental moment of Obama’s current situation with his clear lead over McCain for Presidency. Lets be honest, a lot of Caucasians, specifically the older generations (who make up most of the political system), have a skewed view of black people. I am not implying that they’re all racist, but generalizations are made from the negative media bombarded at a constant rate.

This makes excelling in the political landscape a lot more difficult for a black male or female, because with performing at excellent levels to grow their position, they also have the challenge of changing perception of the majority of their colleagues.

That is why, I give Obama a lot of credit because from his humble starting as an individual who wanted to change his community to senator on his way to the white house, many perceptions needed to be changed and perceptions continue to change every time he is on the campaign trail.

I think that is a character defining trait, an individual able to fight adversary and push forward when odds are against him, because frankly in the politics there is no such thing as equal footing even with the aid affirmative action.

I don’t think that should be the defining factor for voting for Obama, but should be taken into consideration.
