My City of Toronna

So I went to New York the other day to do some heavy shopping for the fall (Flatbush stand up)…and I noticed something that stood out to me that I have noticed before; New Yorkers REALLY love New York. When I see individuals there, the love for their city is so evident that glows through the face, it’s like when a driver and car become one on the road. I tried to run an experiment on the train, I tried to see if anybody was wearing a new era with a different city, but the whole 5 days I was there (took train everyday) all the new era caps where NY.

 The reason why I’m bringing up urban patriots (people who rep there city…) is that there is also another large trend in New York that you may or may not be aware of, and that is “I Love New York” t-shirts. Now with this observation I had in the apple, I wondered to myself if people in Toronto are Patriots or just city inhabitants. Now from me being a Torona Kid and from my observation of the city I think the majority are not. I believe that when that tourist T-shirt trend because more popular there will be lot more “I Love NY” shirts then “I LOVE Toronto” shirts.
 Now I love my city, and I can only speak on behalf of myself therefore I am not trying to bash anyone. I can even see why there are not as many patriots in Toronto compared to New York and that is because Toronto is not an origin city, it is not based on immigrants living in the city from generations to generations.
 However I still personally believe that we should be more proud of the city we live in, I mean this is our humble abode. I love everything about my city of Toronna even though it is considered the screw face capital (a whole another issue to write about).
From the people, to the events, to those hustling bums on the ramp of Gardiner and Spadina asking for money because they know you going to a club (smart! Great way to target your market).

So if you ever see me on the street…I will be rocking something represent Torona (I am done with the name T.Dot)before representing any other city because I don’t have to be anywhere is then Toronto to LIVE A GOOD LIFE…
