First and foremost, Oprah is not a bad person, she has done a great deal of humanitarian work and has been a strong driving force for the black community. Every day people anticipate Oprah’s long running and reputable show, and are ready to hang on every word or every book she recommends( as an author, if you make it into  Oprah’s Book Club, you’re guaranteed a best selling title) but let’s forget all that and get real for a second.

Oprah is arguably one of the most powerful women in the world. Prestige and accolades come with being in that position but she still lets her personal feelings dictate who she allows on her show.

Not this time Oprah I am calling you out.

Recently you stated “Domestic violence is something that I wouldn’t tolerate. Period.”  Well funny you should say that, Bebe Winans who had been convicted of spousal abuse was featured on your show as a guest judge. Yet Chris Brown who at the time had been “suspected” of assaulting Rhianna was not allowed to be on your show. Correct me if I am wrong but the law states “Innocent Until Proven Guilty” does it not? So then is it safe to say that you exhibit personal bias when selecting guests on your show?

This isn’t the first time you’ve done such a thing. The cast of the movie “Crash(2004)” was invited to be on your show all except one cast member, Ludacris also know as Chris Bridges. You did not like the content in his music so you decided not to have him on your show. Now in the movie Mr.Bridges was credited as an actor therefore you should have interviewed him as such. The movie was riddled with bad language but you did not seem to mind the other cast members jumping on the show. Many will argue that she made a mistake but this is no excuse for someone who has a team of writers to do research.

People need to stop putting Oprah on a pedestal. She is a normal human being and that being there is no reason to worship the feet she walks on or to run out and buy every book she puts in her book club. When Barrack Obama contradicts himself it’s all over the news so Oprah does not get a free pass. Is Oprah a hypocrite? The answer is yes and I hope people will start to realize her questionable actions.

I would like to see personal feelings and bias put aside when any talk show host decides to have someone on their show.

Do Not Be Hypocritical like Oprah has shown to be.
