There has been a lot of talk about Blueprint 3 for the past couple of the months, and today was the leak of the album. Some of the songs have influenced new movements most notably the sudden death of auto-tune.

The recent events have spawned the question; Is Jay-Z that G O D of the game right now? To elaborate; Is he the Guru that people look to, to gauge where hip hop or aspects of pop culture is going?

Songs like “DOA” or “We Off That” try to change the culture trends quite forcibly. It seems to be working for the most part; specifically with DOA (I doubt we will be hearing another Ron Brownz anytime soon).

What is your opinion? Is Jay-Z now the culture catalyst or is he just saying things that people were thinking.
