Another former Rocafella is at Jay! Beans, the State Property head, goes at Jay on his rendition of “What You Talking Bout” , and he’s added to the long list of disgruntled affiliates of the God emcee. If you look at any good beef you’re going to have folks strongly on one side and folks on the other, and this is no different, me personally..I have made my choice.

This argument is about the same thing as all arguments in this setting, Money! Maybe my opinion is biased, because I already have stance on who I agree with, but I just don’t buy any of Beanie’s whining. It’s true that Beanie has fought a lot of Jay’s battles but in Jay’s words “…I don’t have a beard and Santa Claus ain’t black” and I agree.

Beanie said some interesting things on his track, but what Jay-Z said at his Montreal interview was what really struck a chord (Watch the video here). To paraphrase, Jay pretty much said he had an empire without having an empire, and its true; Beans, even with his mediocre success, had a clothing line, record label, movie company, and his own crew of talented rappers, but they all managed to collapse on his own watch.

It’s true that Jay-Z should of put a little more promotion in him, after the whole Damon Dash debacle but at the end of the day Beanie is his own man with a household name (the majority even think he is better than Jay), so if his career is now discarded he has no one to blame but himself.
