Now Dark Knight has finally surpassed the original Spiderman in revenue, but as I found out the news, I got to thinking, was Dark Knight really as good as Spiderman? or as good as everyone was hyping it up to be?
I happen to be one of the late watchers of the huge blockbuster, and because of a lack of sensitive bones, I was able to see the movie while looking past the death of Heath Ledger (who I was a big fan of). During the movie I started to realize that, it was really over hyped and it wasn’t the “Jesus” Movie that everyone was stating it to be. Don’t get me wrong, it is great movie, but I don’t know it if its good enough to equal the revenue that it has generated.
Spiderman was a great movie, and the reasons why I believe it is a good contender are;
• It was better adapted from the comic
• The movie did a great job of character development and going through the story to a climax (because they stuck with comic)
• The soundtrack (Danny Elfman is the truth lol)
• Fighting scenes were pretty intense
It is shame how they ruined the franchise with Spiderman 3, but the first effort was great. One thing about the Dark Knight was the set up for sequel, it was done so well that it makes me want to pre-order my tickets for the next batman now.
By the way, the next batman; Johnny Dep might be Riddler, and Angelina Jolie might be Cat Women.
