Rarely do I get extremely excited about news headlines, but being that the Bourne series was one of my favorite franchises, I am ecstatic to hear that the sequel to Bourne Ultimatum has been confirmed.

According to Hollywood Reporter, both Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass are returning for the sequel, but the 4th film will not derive from Robert Ludlum novels which the other titles where based.

Usually I worry when movies don’t follow their sourced material but Bourne Ultimatum only used the title and a few characters from the novel, the rest was completely out of the air, and the co-writer for Ultimatum will be penning this script…so all is good.

Today is a good day folks…

Awesome, it’s about time they came up with another Bourne movie. I hope they include more of that hardcore Israeli combat technique.
