There’s this huge debate going on right now about how low a person can wear pants, and it’s gotten to the point where a Florida judge struck down a law banning baggy pants completely, calling the measure “unconstitutional”.

The measure was initially approved by voters, and voted on last March, after 5,000 signatures were obtained so that the measure could be added to the ballot.

Despite the approval of the measure, the issue didn’t reach the lime light until a 17-year-old was arrested in Rivier Beach in southeast Florida for wearing pants that exposed his underwear. The teen was then jailed overnight.

The judge in the case, Judge Paul Moyle said this,”We’re not talking about exposure of buttocks. No! We’re talking about someone who has on pants whose underwear are apparently visible to a police officer who then makes an arrest and the basis is he’s then held overnight, no bond.

“Okay so here’s my question: Not to say that I condone the whole baggy pant movement (cause I don’t, I think it’s stupid), but if we’re living on a continent (both America and Canada believe this) that gives us the freedom to say what we want, worship who we want, and believe what we want, why are we not allowed to dress the way we want?

this is the stupidest thing ever….clothing is fashion…fashion is an art…art is the ability to express your self the way you want to….even though baggy pants arent the best fashion ever but its a refelction of self its just stupid to control how ppl dress because this is just gonna be snowball down the hill which will lead to not being able to wear big t-shirts and what not…god help all you americans
