If you’re a huge movie fan, or you like to watch a good film once in while, you will notice the trend in movies being adapted from superhero fiction. These types movies are huge and continue to destroy box office records, but as physics tells us, what goes up most inevitable come down, and I have listed of movies in the works that could cause a potential nose dive to the trend (Nerd Alert).

5.) Wolverine:
I always thought wolverine was too soft in the x-men franchise, but I accepted it because he wasn’t really the focal point of the movies, but now that he is, we will see how synthetic the toughness is. As I was growing up, I would read the X-men comics and really feel how tough wolverine was but I never got that feel from the trilogy. This movie is going to follow wolverine from his past to his present, but because he really wasn’t convincing in the movies, he is going to fall in his own spotlight.

4.) Street Fighter: The Chun Lee Story
Does anybody remember the movie street fighter with Jean Claude Van dam playing Guile, it was probably one of the worst movies every made. Now picture that (that’s if you remember it), without Ryu and Ken, everybodies favourite characters in the game. The Chun Lee story is only going to be about her but who really cares, I never met any fans of Chun lee, have you?

3.) Dragon Ball:
I bet the first question that came to the mind of producers was how to turn 600 and something episodes into a motion picture, well they obviously got the answer wrong, because the real answer is you don’t . Okay fine, I am not being optimistic, it is possible, but from the posters that I have seen thing are not looking good at all. As a young person, I use to watch the show with the anticipation of in-depth storylines, intense fighting, and impressive techniques, but from the poster, the movie looks like a wal-mart clothing ad. Here is a quick lesson for all the revenue hungry business conglomerates out there; because it works one medium, doesn’t necessarily mean it will work in another.

2.) Superman Sequel
I had discussion about the problem with potential Superman franchise with a friend, and that problem is that a super human hero with a human villain is just boring. Let’s be honest if Superman really wanted to, he can just snap Lex Luthor’s neck and that would save us 2 hours of a movie. So if a sequel is to be released, it will automatically flop unless the change the villain to a formidable foe.

1.) Venom
Apparently Sony is in talks to make a movie based on the Spiderman villain. Now this has to be one of the stupidest ideas, Spiderman 3 did not portray Venom as any type of star, secondly why would we want to watch a full length movie of venom just doing evil junk? What Sony should do is make a new Spiderman trilogy for Maximum Carnage with Carnage and his group of goons completely destroying the city…now that is an idea that could break records.
